Boskoi, a mobile phone application for finding edible urban wild-food sources — combining the ancient skills of foragers with current open source media.
A mobile phone guide to edible urban wild-food sources. This pilot-project is initiated by FoAM and supported by het Prins Bernhard cultuurfonds. The application will be available soon at http://www.boskoi.org.
With the Boskoi application you can scan your direct neighbourhood on edible plants. On your screen you will see where the plants grow, when you can harvest and what parts are good for eating.
Boskoi has been developed by FoAM Amsterdam in collaboration with online application developers Maarten van der Mark, Joey van der Bie, Martin Pool and in partnership with Lipika Bansal and urbanibalism.
