Sanatorium Supper

A supper for pathologic appetites held on 18 October 2009 in the W.G kunst, a former sanatorium as part of the Wilhelmina Gasthuis hospital complex, Amsterdam.

The meal was be prepared with urban medicinal plants, harvested from in and around Amsterdam. Each course a victual vaccine made of minute amounts of urbanic matter to provide resistance against and treatment for most of our urban ailments, real or imagined. From antiflogistisch aperitif to spleen fortifying stew, a supper to stave off persistent urban pathogens and unleash the hypochondric in all of us.

Cooked up by Wietske Maas with the assistance of Matteo Pasquinelli in collaboration with Cocky Eek and Theun Karelse of Urban Edibles and FoAM lab as part of the Blinde Vlekken manifestation.

Urbaan Sanatorium Diner

Een diner voor het pathologische honger werd geserveerd op 18 oktober 2009 in W.G. kunst, een voormalig sanatorium als afdeling van het Wilhelmina Gasthuis ziekenhuis complex, Amsterdam.

De maaltijd werd bereid met medicinale stadsplanten, geoogst in en rond Amsterdam. Elke gang een voedzaam vaccin gemaakt met minuscule hoeveelheden urbane grondstof als weerstand tegen of behandeling van onze stedelijke ziekten, echt of gefantaseerd. Van een antiflogistisch aperitief tot milt versterkende stamppot, verdrijft dit diner ongetwijfeld hardnekkige stedelijke ziekteverwekkers en bevrijdt het de hypochonder in ons allen.

Dit diner werd bekokstooft door Wietske Maas in samenwerking met Cocky Eek en Theun Karelse (van Urban Edibles en FoAM lab ) als onderdeel van Blinde Vlekken
