‘Pharmacopoea Pauperum’ in Dutch ‘Armen Apotheek’ (Pharmacy for the Paupers), published in 1830, was written as a welfare pharmaceutical production manual for pharmacists to make and sell medicines at a minimum cost to ensure poor people could also be properly treated.
