Urban Edibles, FoAM lab a growing map marking food sources in public space in and around Amsterdam.
In January 2009, the FoAM lab Amsterdam (Cocky Eek & Theun Karelse) set up the Urban Edibles map, a Google map marking the wild food sources found in ‘open’ public spaces in Amsterdam. Some of the projects we have done together (such as Urban Sanatorium Supper) use the map to collectively locate plant sources. In this way it also becomes a living archive of different foodsourcing for conviviums that use the edible geography of the city.
